What experiences do you have that make you a good candidate for office?

I have experience in running two small businesses, have served as a volunteer fighter, and emergency medical technician. My life has been one of practical experience and problem-solving in many situations.

What are your top three priorities if elected?

1. Continue sound fiscal policies which have kept Blackberry Township within its’ budget. 2. Seek additional funds from outside sources to maintain and repair township roads; find funds which may be available from other government sources. 3.Possible expansion of Blackberry Township Cemetery, as more space will be needed as our population increases.

Would you support freezing your taxing district’s levy until housing prices rebound? Why or why not?

This is a theoretical question, and as such, many factors must be considered. Road maintenance and other township services must be funded, but there is no guarantee if, or when, housing housing prices ever will “rebound.”

What one decision by the township board do you most disagree with and why?

I have no disagreement with the decisions of the current township board.

What was the biggest accomplishment of the board in the past year?

Staying within its budget, despite deteriorating economic conditions.

Why should voters elect you to office?

I have lived in Blackberry Township for 25 years, am familiar with its people, its needs and its growing pains. My daughter was raised here, we have put down roots here. I want this opportunity to be of further service to my community.
