What experiences do you have that make you a good candidate for office?

Consulting experience - As a consultant I would go into and organization and listen to what they needed to accomplish at different levels and guide discussions and develop options to meet the needs, then plan and implement them.

What are your top three priorities if elected?

Continue to keep the village solvent and responsive while planning for controlled growth. Balance services and cost to maintain the quality of life in the village and keep tax levies as low as possible. Listen to the needs of the residents and businesses to keep this great place to live and do business.

Would you support freezing your taxing district’s levy until housing prices rebound? Why or why not?

Low taxes need to be balanced against the services and needs of the community to maintain the quality of life. I would rather see the levy controlled by prudent spending and cost controls than a knee-jerk freeze the levy with no other plan than to keep the ‘number’ the same until some arbitrary point in time.

What one decision by the village board do you most disagree with and why?

I’m not running because I’m dissatisfied with the current board or decision made, but because I have the time and energy to give back of myself to the community.

What was the biggest accomplishment of the board in the past year?

keeping the city solvent

Why should voters elect you to office?

I’m a good listener and will represent them and the village well.
