What experiences do you have that make you a good candidate for office?

My prior 8yrs. of experience working at Geneva Township gave me the insight of the offices of Supervisor, Clerk, Highway, Assessors offices. In 2001 I excepted a position as Marketing Director for a Memory Care Community in Geneva where I am currently employed. Since I knew the operations of the Township I decided to be a candidate as Trustee in the 2001 Consolidated Election. Todate I have been on the Board of Trustees for 12 yrs. now seeking re-election as Trustee in the Consolidated Election on April 9th 2013. My experience includes working on the levies, budgets, funding for the Youth Skate Park, and the needed Senior Center for residents 55+ enjoyed daily by 80-100 seniors.

What are your top three priorities if elected?

The top three priorities when elected, will be to continue overseeing the Levy, Budgets for the Township, Assessor & Highway offices. To be active in the continued success of the Senior Center for residents of Geneva.

Would you support freezing your taxing district’s levy until housing prices rebound? Why or why not?

In 2012 as Trustee, along with the other Board of Trustee’s voted on a 0% increase for the 2012 levy. The 2012 levy remained the same as the 2011 levy.

What one decision by the township board do you most disagree with and why?

Non applicable at this time.

What was the biggest accomplishment of the board in the past year?

The biggist accomplishment being on the Township Board in the past year is the 0% increase in the 2012 levy, remaing the same as the 2011 levy.

Why should voters elect you to office?

My 12 years of experience being on the Board of Trustee’s managing the levies, budgets and the success of the Senior Center and Youth Skate Park. My prior 8 yrs. experience working with 3 Supervisor’s (Bob Vogt, Richard Lindholm, Patrick Jaeger),2 Assessor’s (Bill Black, Aubrey Pratt), 2 Highwasy Commissioner’s (Richard Nelson, John Carlson) and Clerk, (Barbara Olsen).
