What experiences do you have that make you a good candidate for office?
I have served on the Kane County Board for 8 years, 1980 to 1998. I am presently serving on the Geneva Township Board. I have served 3 terms on this board.
What are your top three priorities if elected?
My goal has always been to wisely and frugally spend our taxpayers’ money.
Would you support freezing your taxing district’s levy until housing prices rebound? Why or why not?
Support of freezing taxing district’s levy is high on my list. The freeze would give the elected officials to reassess their own budgets.
What one decision by the township board do you most disagree with and why?
Disagreement with township decisions is not a concern anymore. We’ve done what we set out to do and it turned out well. Nothing seems to be a priority as far as I can see.
What was the biggest accomplishment of the board in the past year?
Accomplishments were running the Senior Center efficiently and keeping the taxes from increasing.
Why should voters elect you to office?
I should be re-elected because my past elected positions have produced many tax saving and noteworthy programs at the County Board level and Township level and those programs have improved life in the County and the Township.
