A lot of the skills I utilize and responsibilities I have in my day job translate to the job of Trustee. I am responsible for growing the revenue in my office and also charged with making certain that costs to not exceed those revenues. I am presented with problems, research solutions and make the best decision with the info at hand - just like a Trustee. I have served for the past two years in this capacity.

Although I am now completing my 12th consecutive year on the Village Board, I still have the enthusiasm and desire to serve. My professional experience with Arthur Andersen and being employed at multiple universities has reinforced the importance of a process orientation, enhanced with the value of data, for sound decision making. Furthermore, my professional experience has provided me the opportunity to learn the critical importance of people skills (e.g. listening, caring, respect, etc.) which promote shared problem solving and solution ownership.
